Baseball Doubleheader at St. John's Cancelled; Other Schedule
Changes Announced
JAMAICA, N.Y. (March 24, 2005) - The baseball doubleheader between
the University of Connecticut and St. John's on Thursday, March 24
was cancelled due to inclement weather in the New York
metropolitan area. The two games will not be rescheduled at a later date.
The Huskies (12-4) will now open their BIG EAST season when they
travel to Plymouth Meeting, Pa., to play a doubleheader against
Villanova on Saturday, March 26. The first game will start at 12:00
p.m. In addition, UConn's game against Siena, scheduled for Monday, March 28
in Storrs, has been postponed indefinitely. The Huskies' home opener
will now be on Wednesday, March 30, against Yale. UConn has added a
game on Tuesday, March 29 when the Huskies will travel to Brookline,
Mass., to face the Huskies of Northeastern at 3:00 p.m. UConn's
previously scheduled game at NU's Friedman Diamond on Tuesday, April 5 will now
be played at J.O. Christian Field in Storrs. |
