— The University of Connecticut baseball team fell to Stetson
4-2 on Saturday night at Melching Field in DeLand, Fla.
UConn scored first in the top of
the second inning, when senior Matt Karl (Wallingford, Conn.)
reached base and advanced to second on a throwing error by Stetson

followed by a wild pitch put two men in scoring position, before two

two for the host team, before they added another run before the end
of the inning.

in the fifth inning as a single by Peter Fatse (Hampden,
Mass.) started the inning. Freshman Mike Nemeth (Washington,

up a sacrifice fly by Dale Brannon (St. Petersburg, Fla.).
