Huskies of Honor Celebration

Eleven of the 16 inaugural members of UConn's Huskies of Honor were on hand
for tonight's halftime presentation.

Director of Athletics Jeff Hathaway presented head coach Jim
Calhoun with a commemorative plaque honoring his induction into the Huskies
of Honor.

Toby Kimball, who led the NCAA in both rebounds and rebound average in
1965-65, spoke on behalf of all the honorees during the halftime ceremony
Monday.

The 13-player "Huskies of Honor" inaugural class includes 12
members of the UConn Men's Basketball All-Century Team as well as 2004 NCAA
National Player of the Year Emeka Okafor (2001-04), who was not present
at Monday's festivities.

One of the greatest ambassadors of UConn Athletics, Dee Row, is
presented with his commemorative plaque from Director of Athletics Jeff
Hathaway after 37 years as a Husky.

UConn's first consensus First Team
All-American Donyell Marshall was on hand for the ceremony Monday as one
of the night's 16 honorees. |
