WARWICK, RI (Sept. 5) - The University of Connecticut men’s
cross country team placed third of four teams at the Providence College Cross
Country Invitational at Goddard Park. The Huskies were led by senior Ken Goglas
(Randolph, NJ) who placed sixth on the 4.97 mile course (8000 meters) with a
time of 25:44.
UConn’s Eric Fleckenstein (Port Jefferson, NY) and Mike Hall
(Washington Depot, CT) also placed in the top 10, finishing eighth and ninth,
respectively, with times of 25:53 and 25:55. Pat Blake (Lebanon, CT) finished in
16th, and Max Feldman (Easton, CT) also cracked the top 20 with an 18th-place
finish.
The Huskies will take two weeks off before competing at the
Blue Devil Invitational in New Britain, CT, on September 20.
