Men’s Cross Country Places Sixth at the BIG EAST Championship
BOSTON, Mass. (Oct. 29) – The
University of Connecticut men’s cross country team took sixth with 212 points
out of ten teams at the BIG EAST Championship on Friday.
Sophomore Max Feldman
(Easton, Conn.) was the top UConn finisher with a time of 24:54 as he came 28th
out of 89 competitors. Freshman Paul Durfee (Laconia, N.H.) followed in
35th with a time of 25:01 and senior captain Pat Blake
(Lebanon, Conn.) came in 38th with a time of 25:09.
Notre Dame captured the BIG EAST
Championship with 47 points and Villanova’s Bobby Curtis was the individual
champion with a time of 23:26.
The Huskies return to
action on November 13th when they travel to New York, N.Y. to compete
in the NCAA Regional Qualifier.
