Feldman Sets Course Record As Huskies Finish Ninth At Albany Invitational

ALBANY, N.Y. (Oct. 15) - Junior Max Feldman (Easton, Conn.) set a new course record in 24:46.0 while placing first at the 39th Annual Albany Cross Country Invitational on Saturday afternoon.

In setting the new course record, Feldman also eclipsed his previous UConn career-best. The Huskies finished in ninth position out of 27 teams in the meet. Following Feldman in the top-10 was sophomore Will Melofchik (Wayside, N.J.), who finished in fourth place in a time of 24:54.6.

Other UConn finishers were freshman Brian Colonnese (Easton, Conn.) who finished in 61st place in 26:24.7, junior Kyle Eckman (Bridgewater, N.J.), who was 80th in 26:41.1 and freshman Daren Myers (Cohoes, N.Y.), who placed 124th in a time of 27:48.5. Senior Joel Legare (Holden, Mass.) was 162nd with a time of 31:05.0 while sophomore Brian Cacace (East Haven, Conn.) placed 182nd in 35:02.1.

UConn is next in action on Friday, Oct. 28 when they travel to Bronx, N.Y. for the BIG EAST Championships.
