Players' Night Out
December 24, 2004
Bowling at a bowl game??? Brilliant!!! After
their respective Christmas Eve practices, both the UConn and Toledo
teams were the guests of the Motor City Bowl committee at the Utopia
Night Club and Thunderbowl Lanes, a multi-purpose entertainment
complex similar to a Jillian's or Dave & Buster's. Here are some
photos of the event.

Left, Larry Taylor and Keron Henry face off in
a game of pool...Right, Tim Lassen, Ryan Krug, Craig Berry and Billy
Irwin partake in cosmic bowling.

Left, The dance area was quiet for quite a
while until charismatic Toledo head coach Tom Amstutz snooped out onto
the floor and got the party started as his players marvel...Right,
Proving that they were no OutKasts, members of the UConn team also
ushered their way to the floor and got down tonight.

arcade while Afa Anoai (right) relaxes for a minute.

Left, The event is designed in part to allow
the Huskies and Rockets to get acquainted in a social setting. Here,
Tony Ciaravino and a Toledo player show each other some
respect...Right, Although the Rockets would have won a formal
dance-off, one of the Huskies who represented the team best was
Maurice Lloyd. Toledo players watch in the background as Lloyd
demonstrates his vertical leap.
