UConn-Louisville Football Moved to Friday Night
2008 CONNECTICUT FOOTBALL SCHEDULE
STORRS, Conn. (March 11, 2008) -
The BIG EAST Conference announced on
Tuesday that the University of Connecticut’s football game at
Louisville has been moved up a day to Friday night, Sept. 26. The
game will now kickoff at 8:00 p.m. and be broadcast live on ESPN2
from Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium.
This will mark
the fourth meeting between the Huskies and Cardinals as BIG EAST
members, all of which have been selected for national broadcasts
prior to the start of the season. Last fall, UConn defeated
Louisville, 21-17, at Rentschler Field on Oct. 19, also a Friday
night.
The game is
UConn’s third pre-determined national telecast of the season. The
Huskies will play host to Baylor on Fri. Sept. 19 on ESPN2 and
welcome Pittsburgh to Rentschler Field on Dec 6 for a game to be
shown on either ESPN or ESPN2. Additional television information
will be announced as the 2008 season progresses, often 12 days prior
to kickoff.
