Huskies Finish Play at Argonaut Invitational
Final Results PENSACOLA, Fla. (February 26, 2008)-- The
University of Connecticut golf team finished in tenth place at the Argonaut
Invitational Tuesday, hosted by the University of West Florida at Pensacola
Country Club. The Huskies shot a three-round total of 303-304-308--915. West
Florida captured the team championship with a total of 847, outdistancing
runner-up Illinois by 13 shots. Leading the Husky individuals for the
tournament was senior co-captain A.J. Siekierski (North Grosvenordale,
Conn) who finished in a tie for 29th place at 223 (75-75-73). Senior co-captain
Brian Travalja (Oradell, N.J.) finished in 32nd place at 224 (78-71-75).
The Huskies return to action on March 3-4 at the Charleston Southern University
Spring Kickoff Tournament at Coosaw Creek Country Club in Charleston, S.C.. |
