Huskies Continue Play at BIG EAST

2008)-- Senior Brian Travalja stands in a tie for 14th place overall
as the University of Connecticut continued play Monday at the 2008 BIG EAST
Men's Golf Championship at the Traditions Golf Club. Marquette University
holds an 11-shot advantage in the team competition with a score of 579, led by
runaway individual leader Ted Gray. Gray holds a seven-shot lead after posting
back-to-back scores of 68. He is one of only three players under par for the
championship. Louisville is in second place at 590, followed by Seton Hall
(591), Notre Dame (591), St. John's (600), South Florida (602), DePaul (602),
Villanova (603), Cincinnati (603), UConn (604), Georgetown (610) and
Rutgers (616). Travalja shot a 75 Monday to stand at five-over 149. Senior
A.J. Siekierski and freshmen Chris DeLucia and Matt Dubrowski
are all tied for 31st place at eight-over 152. The tournament concludes
Tuesday with third round action beginning at 8:30 a.m. |
