STORRS, Conn. - The University of Connecticut men’s soccer team increased their undefeated streak to four games with a 1-0 win over BIG EAST foe Pittsburgh Saturday night at Morrone Stadium. The Huskies improved to 2-0-0 in BIG EAST play and 4-3-1 overall.

The game showcased a dominating defensive performance, with UConn not allowing the Panthers to put anything together offensively. Pittsburgh did not register a shot on goal and was only able to collect five shots in the contest. The Huskies on the other hand totaled 19 shots, seven on them on net.

The lone goal of the game came in at 73:01. Freshman Viktor Borggren (Malmo, Sweden) fed the ball into play off a corner kick. Borggren connected with junior Willis Forko (Houston, Texas) who headed the ball into the goal to give UConn the 1-0 win. The goal was the first of Forko’s career while the assist to Borggren was his second of the season.

Bonginkosi Macala (Pretoria, South Africa) led the Huskies with seven shots, four of them on net, while senior Easton Wilson (Hartford, Conn.) tallied the second-highest shot total with three. Panther goalkeeper Justin Lowery made five saves on the evening.

The contest attracted 5,327 spectators -- the fourth largest to see a BIG EAST soccer game and was only 743 off the record of 6,070 -- also set at UConn.

Connecticut will look to continue its undefeated streak when they take on Providence on Wednesday, Sept. 29 at 3:30 p.m. in Providence, R.I.
