Men's Soccer 3-0-1 vs. Spring Opponents
STORRS, Conn. (April 12, 2005) - The University of Connecticut
men's soccer team is 3-0-1 against spring opponents thus far into its
spring game schedule. The Huskies have not allowed a single goal to
their opponents and notched victories over the Long Island
Roughriders, Southern Connecticut State and the Western Massachusetts
Pioneers. UConn tied with Stony Brook, 0-0.
Numerous Huskies have registered multiple points in the games, with
Ryan Cordeiro (Highland Mills, N.Y.) leading the pack with two
goals and two assists for six points. David Fromayan (Bay
Shore, N.Y.) is the only other Husky to score multiple goals with two.
Kevin Burns (Glenfield, Ind.) has five points with a team-high
three assists and one goal, while Willis Forko (Houston, Texas)
registered four points on a goal and two assists.
