STORRS, Conn. (November 15, 2007) - The No. 2 nationally-ranked and
top-seeded University of Connecticut men's soccer team rides a four-game win
streak into the BIG EAST Semifinals against the red division’s second-seeded
Louisville. Game time set for Friday, Nov. 16 at 7:30 p.m. in Joseph J. Morrone
Stadium. This match follows the first semifinal contest between Notre Dame and
DePaul.
The winner of Friday’s matches advance to the championship game on Sunday, Nov.
18 at noon, also in Morrone Stadium. As Blue Division champions, UConn is
looking for the program’s seventh conference championship and third in the last
four years.
TICKETS: All tickets for the BIG EAST Semifinals and Championship, hosted
by UConn at Morrone Stadium, are general admission and are priced as follows:
adults ($5.00), children/senior citizens ($3.00) and BIG EAST students (free).

South Florida, 2-0, in the quarterfinals on Nov. 10 ... Ryan Cordeiro
tallied both goals for UConn in the win, extending his game-winning goal streak
to three contests.

defense have earned 11 shutouts through 19 games (0.56/11th in the NCAA) and
have allowed just 11 goals on the year.
• Sophomore Mike Pezza leads the team, conference and and NCAA in assists
with 16 on the season, including eight on game-winning goals ... Redshirt
freshman goalkeeper Josh Ford has earned 11 shutouts between the pipes, becoming
the most successful freshman keeper under Reid.
