Men's Tennis Shutout By Marquette, 7-0

MILWAUKEE, Wis. (March 2, 2008) - The University of Connecticut men's tennis team was defeated by BIG EAST opponent Marquette, 7-0, Sunday at the Helfaer Tennis & Recreation Center. The Huskies are now 1-4 on the year and 0-2 in the conference.

Christian Malerba (Derby, Conn.) and Andrew Marcus (Potomac, Md.) both posted valiant efforts in flights four and five, respectively, as they took their respecitve opponents to a 6-4, 6-4 match.

The men's tennis team returns to action on Mar. 10 against Cleveland State in Orlando, Fla.
