Men's Track and Field Completes Competition at NCAA East Regional
NCAA East Regional Results TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (May 30,
2008) - The University of Connecticut men's track and field team completed
competition Friday at the NCAA East Regional on the campus of Florida State
University in Tallahassee, Fla. Marquis Thomas (Mattapan, Mass.) was
the top UConn finisher, taking 10th in the high jump, clearing 6-9. Andrew
Dubs (Holland, Pa.) took 12th in the shot put with a toss of 56-8. In the
track events, Brian Gagnon (Lowell, Mass.) was 16th in the 800-meter run
with a time of 1:49.57. Mike Rutt (Sinking Springs, Pa.) was 18th with a
time of 1:50.38. Basil Campbell (Ewing, N.J.) was 35th in the 200-meter
dash with a time of 22.02. In the 400-meter hurdles, Anthony Burris
(Bridgeport, Conn.) was 14th with a time of 52.03. Kyle Edmonds
(Metuchen, N.J.) was 20th in the same event with a time of 52.46. Verrol
Jackson (Schenectady, N.Y.) was scratched from the 110-meter hurdles. |
