BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (March 22, 2008) - The No. 1 University of Connecticut women's basketball team began its preparation on Saturday afternoon as the Huskies took part in their first press conference and interviews of the 2008 Women’s Division I NCAA Tournament as well as an open practice at the Arena at Harbor Yard. 

UConn, the tournament's top seed, will begin NCAA Tournament play on Sunday, March 23 against Ivy League Champion, No. 16 Cornell. Sunday’s first round match-up is set for a 7:22 p.m. tip.
