Complete Results

BOSTON, Mass. (November 12, 2005) - The University of Connecticut women's cross country team competed in the NCAA Regionals held at Northeastern University on Saturday afternoon, placing 20th in the event.  The team was led by Niamh Cunningham (Branford, Conn.), who finished 40th with a time of 22:05.2.

The Huskies struggled with the loss of returning No. 1 runner, Jillian Sullivan (Bristol, Conn.), who was out with a concussion.  Even without Sullivan, the Huskies competed well with Cunningham in 40th place, followed by freshman Keelan King (Scotia, N.Y.), Cara Reardon (Northborough, Mass.), freshman Rebecca McCollum (Monroe, Conn.), and Orlaith Cunningham (Branford, Conn.).

This meet concludes the cross country season for the Huskies.  Several members of the team will also compete for the Huskies in track and field.  The indoor track season begins on December 2.
