STORRS, CT (March 3) — Seniors Maureen Butler (Red Hook, NY), Kelly Stolle
(Warren, CT) and Lyndsay Thomson (Newburyport, MA), junior Abby Ostruzka
(Riverside, CT), sophomores Brianna Clark (Marshfield, MA), Joy Domin (Gilford,
NH) and Laura Puddle (London, England), and freshmen Kristin Galuski (Latham,
NY) and Nicole Harmony (Palmyra, PA) have each earned a spot on the 2003
National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division I National Academic Squad for
their outstanding work in the classroom.
UConn’s nine selections to the National Academic Squad were the the most of
any school in the BIG EAST and the second most of the teams advancing to the
2003 NCAA Tournament Quarterfinal.
