UConn Wins 11th Straight 6-0 at New Hampshire
Henderson Becomes Career Points Leader in Win

Durham, N.H. (Oct. 1, 2004) — Senior Lauren Henderson (Avondale
Harare, Zimbabwe) became UConn’s career leader in points as the No. 6 University
of Connecticut field hockey team won its 11th straight game with a 6-0 shutout
at New Hampshire on Friday night.
THe Huskies improve to a perfect 11-0 on the season, while the Wildcats fall to
1-8.
Henderson scored three goals in the win, to up her career point total to 181,
moving her past Tracey Fuchs’ mark of 178 and into the top spot in UConn career
annals.
Freshman Lizzy Peijs (Breda, Holland) added two goals in the win, while
junior Laura Puddle (London, England) notched a goal and two assists.
For the game the Huskies out-shot the Wildcats 24-6 and attempted nine penalty
corner while limiting New Hampshire to 3.
Junior goalkeeper Melissa Bostwick (San Diego, Calif.) recorded her fifth
shutout of the season in the win.
UConn returns to action on Wednesday, Oct. 6 when it travels to meet BIG EAST
rival Boston College beginning at 7:00 p.m. (ET).
