STORRS, Conn. (December 1, 2004) — University of Connecticut field hockey head coach Nancy Stevens has been named the 2004 Dita/NFHCA Division I Mideast Region Coach of the Year.

Stevens guided the Huskies to the third 20-win season in the program’s history and led UConn to its third straight BIG EAST regular season title with a 20-2 overall mark in 2004.

Connecticut also claimed the BIG EAST Tournament crown and qualified for the NCAA Tournament for the third straight season.
