STORRS,
Conn. (May 27) -- University of Connecticut senior rower Ursula Henwood has
been named to the New England All-Region second team by the Collegiate Rowing
Coaches Association (CRCA).
Henwood was a member of the UConn varsity eight team that
won the Dad Vail Regatta championship in Philadelphia earlier this month as the
Huskies won the overall team title. Henwood was in the bow seat on the varsity
eight boat.
Henwood becomes UConn’s first all-region selection in the
sport of rowing since 2002. She was also an active member of the UConn
community during her collegiate career and this past year served as president
of the Student-Athlete Advisory Council.
