Huskies Conclude Fall Season At Syracuse Invitational

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (November 3, 2007)  -- The University of Connecticut women's rowing team concluded its fall season on Saturday at the Syracuse Invitational.

UConn boats finished eighth and 15th out of 16 in the varsity four A flight and finished ninth of 14 in the varsity four B flight.

In the novice eight, UConn raced a pair of boats and finished fourth and 11th out of 13.

In varsity eight competition, UConn was fourth and 12th out of 13.

"It was great to finish the fall with some good weather and good rowing," says head coach Jennifer Sanford-Wendry. "I was happy with the way our team performed and look forward to moving indoors to continue to work on fitness, so that we will be prepared for the spring."
