Haney Competes At NCAAs In 100 Yard Breaststroke
Will Continue NCAA Competition On Saturday in 200 Yard Breaststroke

COLUMBUS, Ohio (March 21, 2008) - University of Connecticut senior Courtney Haney (Mesa, Ariz.) competed in the 100 yard breaststroke at the NCAA Division I Women's Swimming and Diving Championship on Friday afternoon.

Haney finished 38th of 46 in the preliminary round with a time of 1:03.55 -- her second-best career time in that event.

Haney will continue her action at the NCAA Championship on Saturday when she competes in the 200 yard breaststroke. Haney was an NCAA "A Cut" Qualifier in that event. Haney enters the the 200 ranked 19th in the country in that event.
