Women's Tennis Shuts Out Providence,
7-0
EAST HARTFORD, Conn. (April 2, 2008) - The University of Connecticut
women's tennis team rolled over Providence Wednesday afternoon at the East
Hartford Racquet Club. The Huskies are now 7-4 overall and 2-3 in the BIG EAST.
"I am very pleased with the team's effort today after a couple tough BIG EAST
losses," said Director of Tennis Glenn Marshall. "It was very encouraging and I
think if we keep working hard and really push hard over next five matches, we
can earn the right to compete in the BIG EAST Championships in a few weeks."
The Huskies return to action Saturday at Georgetown.
