As a Freshman in 2001-2002: Named to the BIG
EAST All-Rookie Team and was a member of the 2002 ConAgra Foods BIG EAST
Championship All-Tournament team... Appeared in all 34 games, starting two
(Quinnipiac and Villanova on February 11)... Finished No. 2 on the team in
scoring at 12.6 points per game... Also averaged 2.7 rebounds and 3.1 assists

Week status, along with teammate Emeka Okafor, after the win over Arizona... Had
23 points in the overtime loss at St. John’s on February 9, including a stretch
in the first half where he scored ten straight Husky points... Had a 21-point
effort in the win at Georgetown, including the game-winning three-pointer in the
final minute... Was BIG EAST Rookie of the Week on March 3 after scoring 15
points in a pair of wins over BC and Seton Hall to end the regular season... Was
the BIG EAST Rookie of the Week on December 3 after scoring 23 points vs. New
Hampshire and adding 19 against George Washington... Received the annual Most
Improved Player Award at the team banquet.

player at Mount Vernon (NY) High School… Two-time Westchester County Mr.
Basketball… Two-time Player of the Year by the Journal News and two-time
tri-state all-star by the Daily News… Averaged 24.1 points, 4.9 rebounds, 5.4
assists and 3.6 steals as a senior, shooting 53% from the floor, 39% from
three-point range, and 80% at the foul line… Scored 1,756 points during
scholastic career, passing six former NBA players (Scooter McCray, Rodney
McCray, Gus Williams, Lowes Moore, Earl Tatum, Ray Williams) en route to school
record… First four-year varsity player at Mount Vernon since Scooter McCray in
the early 1980s… Led team to New York Class A state championship and 28-0 record
as a junior and to state Class A semifinals as a senior… Averaged 27.3 points in
15 postseason games over his final two high school seasons… Attended adidas ABCD
