*The Huskies pursued their third international tour, taking the team to Greece to play below Mt. Olympus and Italy for two weeks.

*UConn advanced to the Final Eight while senior Jen Carlson finished #2 on the All-time scoring list, just 13 points points behind Moira Buckley’s hold on #1. Mary-Frances Monroe was named an All-American.

*NSCAA FINAL RANK: 8

*In December of 2000, the Women’s United Soccer Association held it’s first combine and draft. Sara Whalen, a National team player, was allocated to the New York Power. Others drafted: Kerry Connors (New York Power), Carey Dorn (Bay Area CyberRays), Naomi Stone (Carolina Pride), Jen Tietjen (Philadelphia Charge), Margaret Tietjen            Jen Carlson           (San Diego Spirit), and Chrisy McCann (Boston Breakers).
