STORRS, Conn. (April 18, 2008) - The 11th-seeded University of Connecticut women's tennis team was defeated by 10th-seeded West Virginia, 4-2, Friday evening in the consolation round of the BIG EAST Championships. By virtue of their defeat, the Huskies finished in 11th place (tied with Georgetown) and have completed championship competition. Their final record is 9-8.

TAMPA, Fla. (April 17, 2008) - The 11th-seeded University of Connecticut women's tennis team dropped a 4-2 decision to sixth-seeded Syracuse Thursday afternoon in the first round of the BIG EAST Championships. The Huskies are now 9-7 heading into Friday's consolation round match against 10th-seeded West Virginia at 3:00 p.m.

Women's Tennis Earns 11th Seed; BIG EAST Field Set
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (April 15, 2008) - The Notre Dame Fighting Irish have earned the No. 1 seed in both the men’s and women’s BIG EAST Tennis Championships. The championships are set to begin on April 17 at the USF Tennis Courts in Tampa, Fla. This is the fourth consecutive season that the Bulls have hosted the BIG EAST championships.

STORRS, Conn. (April 9, 2008) - The University of Connecticut women's tennis team swept the bottom half of the order, but fell to Rutgers, 4-3, Wednesday afternoon at the UConn Tennis Courts. UConn is now 9-5 overall and 4-4 in the BIG EAST heading into the conference finale on Saturday.
