As many of you have probably read, the Associated Press ran a story today (Feb. 8) on UConn's appeal for a waiver to play in the 2013 NCAA men's basketball tournament due to our APR sanctions.
We sent a Twitter out when Obi Melifonwu returned his Letter of Intent, but we nevered blogged it...so we wanted it to be official.
Joseph Williams...a 5-11, 197-pound tailback from Allentown, Pa., came to Connecticut for the spring 2012 semester....
Kyle Bockeloh is a 6-2, 286-pound center from Houston, Texas and Cypress Creek HS

Jason Sylva, a 6-3, 235-pound LB from Marlon, Mass., and Plymouth South HS has signed his Letter of Intent and is a Husky!
Rennick Bryan, a 6-2, 319-pound center from New Haven, Conn. and Hillhouse HS has sent in his National Letter of Intent and is officially a Husky!
Ricky Gutiererz is a Husky -- he's a 6-1, 170-pound WR from Hialeah, Fla., and American HS...he dad Ricky Gutierrez was a member of the 2004 Red Sox World Series Champions...but this Ricky won't begin his career down three games of nothing.
Drew Ghio is a 6-1, 297-pound OG from Bristol, Conn, Bristol Central HS and the Loomis Chaffee School.....
Richard Levy..a 6-6, 280-pound OT from Trenton, N.J. and Trenton Central HS has signed his National Letter of Intent for UConn
Another QB that came for the spring 2012 semester...QB Chandler Whitmer...a 6-1, 188-pounder who played last year at Butler Community College in Kansas.
Tyler Samra, a 6-3, 250-pound OG from Wycoff, N.J. and Don Bosco HS is officially a Husky as he has signed a National Letter of Intent.

As many of you know, UConn did have some spring 2012 enrollees who are hard at work on campus. We will try to profile a few here with a break in the LOI action. The first one is QB Casey Cochran, a 6-0, 216-pounder from Monroe, Conn., and Masuk HS.
Our latest Husky is Bobby Puyol, a 6-0, 170-pound kicker from North Palm Beach, Fla., and Dwyer HS.
Mikal Meyers, a 6-3, 300-pound LB from Newburgh, NY and Neburgh Free Academy is now a Husky as he sent in his National Letter of Intent and is was approved.
Elijah Norris, a 6-4, 230-pound DE from Upper Marlboro, Mass., is our latest Husky as he sent in his National Letter of Intent and it was approved.
Happy to welcome Brendan Battles-Santos to UConn...he's a 6-3, 250-pound DE from Eastham, Mass., and Nauset Regional HS and he just sent in his National Letter of Intent and it has been approved.
Jhavon Williams, a 5-11, 185-pound CB from Wellington, Fla., and Palm Beach Central HS has signed his National Letter of Intent to UConn..it has been received an approved.
Zack Rugg...a 6-5, 285-pound offensive guard from Windber, Pa., and Bishop McCourt HS is the latest Husky. He just sent in his National Letter of Intent to the UConn football office and it has been approved.
Lots of early risers in this new Husky class..they will get use to that when they get here too! Our latest is Wyatt Vinci....a 6-3, 238 LB-FB from Ridgewood, NJ., St. Joseph HS and prepped at the Hun School..same as current Husky WR Nick Williams.
Jordan Flloyd, a 6-1, 205-pound FS from Bel Air, Md., and Loyola Blakefield HS is our next Husky who just signed a National Letter of Intent that has been approved....they are starting to come in now..so stay with us.
Jonathan Hicks, a 6-3, 245-pound linebacker from Palmyra, Pa., and Palmyra HS is now officially a Husky as his National Letter of Intent has arrived in Storrs and been approved.
Our first National Letter of Intent signee is official...it's John Green, a 5-11, 175-pound WR from Miami, Fla., and Felix Verela HS!
It is 7 a.m. here in Storrs, Conn., and we are ready to go with our live blog for National Letter of Intent Day for football! We will live blog here as each letter comes in and is approved.
