UConn's starter all season, punted 81 times for 3172 yards (39.2 avg.)... Averaged 40 yards per punt or more in six of Connecticut s 11 games... Of his 81 punts, nine traveled 50 yards or more...Pinned the opposition inside the 20 on 32 occasions...Booted a career-long 71-yarder against Middle Tennessee, which ties as the sixth-longest punt in school history...His 39.2 yards-per-punt average ranked eighth on the UConn single-season punting average list

As a Freshman in 2000:
Starting punter for all 11 games...Named to the CollegeFootballNews.com Division I-A Freshman All-American team...Named the 2000 UConn Special Teams Most Valuable Player...Averaged 40.5 yards per punt, the most ever by a UConn freshman... Punted 56 times for 2,267 yards with 12 touchbacks and 17 punts downed inside the 20...Had a season-long 64-yard punt vs. Rhode Island, a 60-yarder vs. Ball State, a 56-yarder vs. Colgate and kicks of 54 and 53 yards vs. Akron... Earned the Special Teams Game Ball for the win vs. Colgate, averaging 50.7 yds per punt in the win.
