Career: Has one start amongst his 20 career games
played … Recorded 35 tackles, 23 of them solo … Boasts three career
interceptions and three pass breakups … Has 13 kickoff returns and two
punt returns.
2007: Played in all 13 games at corner back and
on special teams, earning a start in the regular season finale at West
Virginia (Nov. 24)… Served as the team’s nickel back for much of the
year… Recorded 30 tackles on the season, 19 solo, with three
interceptions and three other pass breakups… Made a season-high five
tackles at West Virginia… Had four stops and an interception in the win
over Rutgers (Nov. 3)… Intercepted a pass in the end zone and made three
tackles against USF (Oct. 27)… Recovered a fumble at Pittsburgh (Sept.
22)… Made his first career interception against Maine (Sept. 8) and was
also credited with a pair of tackles.
2006: Played in each of the final seven games on special
teams…Returned 13 kickoffs for a 19.0 average and a pair of punts…Also
made five tackles in coverage, four of them solos…Returned four kickoffs
at Rutgers (Oct. 29) and three apiece against Cincinnati (Nov. 25) and
Louisville (Dec. 2)…Was named the Offensive Scout Team Player of the
Week on three occasions.
High School: An All-State selection in Maryland…Named first-team
All-Metro by the Washington Post as a defensive back…Named All-League as
both a running back and a defensive back as a senior after earning the
honor as a junior on defense only…As a senior tailback, rushed for 1,105
yards and 12 touchdowns while also catching 25 passes for 421 yards and
four TDs…A dangerous returner, brought back five kickoffs for a
touchdown in 2005, one short of the national single-season record…Also
returned a punt 98 yards for a touchdown…Intercepted six passes in 2005
and broke up 19 others to go along with 53 tackles…Attended same high
school as former UConn tailback Terry Caulley.
