A redshirt junior who hopes to continue his role as UConn’s starting right tackle.

Career: Has played in 24 out of a possible 25 career games played, starting 12 of them at either left or right tackle.

2007: Played in 12 games, missing the game at Pittsburgh (Sept. 22) … Started each of the first two games and each of the last three games at right tackle.

2006: Played in all 12 games at left tackle, starting each of the final seven contests after Will Beatty’s injury.

2005: Redshirted …  Named the Offensive Scout Team Player of the Week prior to the Georgia Tech game (Sept. 17).

High School: Did not play football until his sophomore year, started as a junior, and only played three games as a senior due to injury … Earned three varsity letters in football at Norwich Free Academy … Helped the team to the 2002 State Playoffs … Also lettered in basketball for one year.

Personal Profile: Daniel Robert Ryan … Born on June 21, 1987 … A sociology major.
