(January 9, 2009) - The University of Connecticut women’s ice hockey team hosts its fifth nationally ranked opponent of the season in conference foe No. 9/9 Boston University on Saturday. The Hockey East clash is set to begin at 1 p.m. at Mark Edward Freitas Ice Forum. UConn (13-6-2, 6-4-0) looks to continue its current seven-game winning streak while the Terriers hope to snap a two-game conference losing streak.

STORRS, Conn. (January 5, 2009) - For the first time in her career, junior Michelle Binning (Oshawa, Ont./Toronto Jr. Aeros Inter. AA) has been acknowledged by the Hockey East as the conference’s TPS Player of the Week. Binning tallied four points in the University of Connecticut women’s ice hockey 2-0 weekend.
