UConn Women's Lacrosse Signs 10 Student-Athletes

Women’s Lacrosse to Participate in 5K Race to Benefit the Friends of Jaclyn Foundation

STORRS, Conn. (September 17, 2008) - Head coach Angela McMahon and the University of Connecticut women’s lacrosse team is set to run in a five-kilometer race on Sunday, Sept. 21 to benefit the Friends of Jaclyn Foundation. The race/walk will be held at Amherst College with nine college sport teams running to raise money for the foundation.

Former UConn Lacrosse Player Named Assistant Coach at Hofstra

HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. (September 10, 2008) - Hofstra University Head Women's Lacrosse Coach Abby Morgan today announced the appointment of former UConn lacrosse player Tanya Kotowicz, also the former head coach at Marist College, to the position of assistant coach. Kotowicz joins the Pride after serving as the head coach of the Red Foxes last season and guiding her squad to the first Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) title in school history.

BROOKLYN, N.Y. (September 10, 2008) - Former UConn women's lacrosse player Heather Levins was announced as the head coach at Long Island University. Levins will take over as head coach after serving as an assistant coach during the 2008 season.

Melynda Zwick Named Assistant Women's Lacrosse Coach

STORRS, Conn. (September 3, 2008) - First-year University of Connecticut women's lacrosse head coach Angela McMahon has named Melynda Zwick an assistant coach effective Monday. Zwick enters her first year as an assistant lacrosse coach at the University of Connecticut after playing for four years at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
