Coach Vohra joined the UConn Sports Performance staff in the summer of 2017. He currently oversees all aspects of training for men’s and women’s track & field, cross country, and diving. In addition to Amit’s team commitments, he assists with the daily operation of the Husky Fuel Station and general facility operations.
Prior to arriving to UConn, Amit was a graduate assistant strength and conditioning coach at Springfield College where he also received his master’s degree in exercise science and sports studies. During his time at Springfield College, Amit was responsible for all aspects of training for the men’s and women’s basketball, baseball, men’s lacrosse, and men’s soccer.
Amit also has multiple internship experiences working with VCU Olympic and basketball sports performance, Wake Forest men’s basketball sports performance, College of the Holy Cross strength and conditioning, and University of Richmond strength and conditioning.
Originally from Alexandria Va., Amit earned his bachelor’s degree in exercise science from Virginia Commonwealth University where he was also a track and field athlete. He currently resides in Storrs Conn.
