Andrew Sherwood joined the UConn Foundation and the UConn athletics development staff in August of 2013 and serves as the assistant director of annual giving for athletics. In this role, Andrew oversees marketing, communications and external relations for the UConn Club.
Prior to joining the UConn Club, he spent two and a half years as a graduate assistant in the athletics department at the University of Arkansas where he worked closely with coaches and student-athletes from all 19 varsity programs. While he worked primarily in video production as a member of RazorVision, he was also involved in fundraising with the Razorback Foundation. In addition to working for Razorback athletics, he also obtained his master's degree from the University of Arkansas in recreation & sport management.
From 2009-10, Andrew served as the communications assistant for the Monogram Club at the University of Notre Dame. Comprised of nearly 7,000 former Notre Dame student-athletes, the Monogram Club strives to uphold and enrich the tradition of Notre Dame athletics. At the University of Notre Dame, he managed all communications and public relations aspects for the Monogram Club and was responsible for the management and upkeep of artifacts and text within Notre Dame Sports Heritage Hall, which is a museum that honors all of Notre Dame's 26 varsity athletic teams.
In the fall of 2008, he began his career in intercollegiate athletics as a media relations intern at the University of Tulsa. As a member of the Golden Hurricane athletic department, he was the primary media contact for the men's and women's golf teams and assisted with men's basketball and football.
In 2007, he graduated from the University of Kansas with a bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism. Andrew currently resides in Vernon.
