Felicia Crump has been the academic counselor for the men's basketball team at the University of Connecticut since January of 2010. A 2002 graduate of Hobart & William Smith Colleges, Crump was a four-year starter on her college soccer team where she earned All-America honors during her senior year. Crump also earned her master's degree in sports management and sociology from the University of Connecticut.
Prior to arriving at the University of Connecticut, Crump worked in the Community & Player Programs department at the National Basketball Association and worked primarily with the NBA D-League. Before her time with the NBA she also worked at Major League Baseball in the Community Affairs department where her primary responsibility was administering the RBI program - a baseball and softball league for inner city youth - on a national level.
Crump also spent three years in the development department at Harlem RBI, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to use baseball and softball as a hook to encourage inner city youth to participate in a wide range of academic after school programming.
Crump is a native of Marlboro, N.J. and currently resides in Manchester, Conn.
