Dewey Raymond, a 1981 UConn graduate with a degree in economics, has comes back to his alma mater after spending 29 years in the private sector. Raymond joined the UConn Foundation working out of the Stamford Campus as Associate Regional Director of Development in February of 2011. In July of 2012, Raymond joined the Athletic Development Office in Storrs.
Raymond's career has been primarily in the financial services industry in and around the New York City market. Raymond has been the Senior Director of Recruiting and Transition for Advest Inc., President of Raymond Consulting (PostSeason LLC) and Vice President of Sales at Walsh Associates. In athletics, Raymond has also consulted to the NFL and the NCAA in the area of transitioning professional and collegiate student-athletes into new careers.
Athletics has always been a part of his life whether it was playing, coaching or business, spending nine years coaching high school football, four as a head coach. A high school all American football player, who then went on to letter three years at UConn, Raymond was named captain his senior year.
Dewey resides in Norwalk, Conn., with his wife Mena and five children, Dewey Jr (Lynnae wife), Daniel, Peter, Meghan `15, Emily and granddaughter Chloe.
