    James Doran is entering his tenth year with the Huskies. His responsibilities are with the University of Connecticut men's basketball team.

    He received his B.S. degree in kinesiology from San Diego State University in 1998 and his M.S. degree in exercise science from the University of Wyoming in 2000. Doran completed an internship at the University of San Diego and his graduate assistantship at the University of Wyoming.

    He was the associate athletic trainer for the University of Wyoming and was primarily responsible for the Cowboy men's basketball team from 2000 to 2005. During his tenure at the University of Wyoming he also held responsibilities with football, wrestling, men's and women's track, women's tennis, men's and women's golf and cheerleading.

    He received his National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification credential in 1998, and is a current member of the National Athletic Trainers Association. Additionally, he is president for the CATA and treasurer for the Alliance for Intercollegiate Sports Medicine.
