UConn SAAC And Honors Council Team Up For "Swim With Mike"

Thanks UConn Fans!!! Drive Nets Over 600 Books

STORRS, Conn. (February 29, 2008) - The University of Connecticut Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) sponsored a Book Drive at the Saturday, Feb. 9, men’s basketball game vs. Georgia Tech and the Tuesday, Feb. 12, women’s basketball game vs. Georgetown. Over 600 books were collected by UConn student-athletes and were delivered on Monday, Feb. 25.

SAAC To Sponsor Book Drive At Basketball Games On February 9 And 12

STORRS, Conn. (February 1, 2008) - The University of Connecticut Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) will be sponsoring a Book Drive at the Saturday, Feb. 9, men’s basketball game vs. Georgia Tech and the Tuesday, Feb. 12, women’s basketball game vs. Georgetown. Both games will be played on campus at the Harry A. Gampel Pavilion.

Connecticut Children's Hospital Family Adopted By SAAC

STORRS, Conn. (December 29, 2007) - The University of Connecticut’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee teamed up with the Connecticut Children’s Hospital to raise over $600 for a patient’s family. Through the Adopt-a-Family program at the hospital, local business and organizations are given to opportunity to help a family in need during the holidays.

Student-Athletes Rock Out At Annual Holiday Party For Underprivileged Children

STORRS, Conn. (December 7, 2007) - The University of Connecticut's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) assisted for the seventh-straight year with a Christmas party held for underprivileged children on Friday, Dec. 12 at St. Bernard’s Church in Rockville, Conn. sponsored by The Cornerstone Foundation.
