BIO INFORMATION ENTERING 2005-06 SEASON

At Connecticut: Has appeared in 97 career contests, starting 23... Averaging 2.9 points and 3.0 rebounds in his career.

As a Junior in 2004-05: Averaged 3.8 points and 3.4 rebounds in 12.4 minutes of play in 30 games off the Husky bench... Had nine points in a career-high 28 minutes in the win at Providence... Had six points, four boards and two assists in 15 minutes at Syracuse... Had one of the best all-around efforts of his Husky career, scoring five points, grabbing ten boards and blocking two shots in 18 critical minutes vs. Villanova... Scored 11 points in a season-high 23 minutes vs. Pittsburgh... Missed the Rutgers game after he sprained the MCL in his right knee in the loss at Oklahoma... Scored 11 points and blocked a career-best six shots in the win over Quinnipiac... Had nine points and nine rebounds in only 11 minutes in the win over Northeastern... Had five blocked shots, along with seven boards in 15 minutes vs. Florida International... Had five points and five rebounds in the opener vs. Buffalo... Averaged 8.5 points and 5.3 rebounds in UConn’s six exhibition games.

As a Sophomore in 2003-04: Averaged 2.4 points and 2.8 rebounds in 35 games, starting in place of an injured Emeka Okafor in the Quinnipiac game... Had six points and three boards in 14 minutes vs. Miami... Had five points and six rebounds in 14 minutes vs. Syracuse... Missed the games vs. Iona and Ball State with a sprained right ankle... Notched his first career double-double in the Quinnipiac game, scoring 11 points and grabbing 12 boards and also blocking four shots.

As a Freshman in 2002-03: Played in 32 games, starting the last 22... Averaged 2.8 points and 2.8 rebounds... Also blocked 24 shots... Shot 54.5% from the field... Had a career-best 12 points, seven boards and three blocks in his first career start vs. Virginia Tech on January 14... Had a career-best five assists in the win over Villanova on January 25.

Before UConn: Top 100 national recruit... Averaged 14.1 points, 12.8 rebounds, 4.6 blocked shots and 2.1 assists for Peekskill HS... Scored nine points and grabbed seven rebounds for New York team in Wendy’s Classic... Selected All-State, First Team All-Section and First Team All-Westchester County by the Journal News... Helped lead Peekskill to NY State Class B Championship game, earning All-Tournament honors after scoring 11 points and grabbing 14 rebounds in title game loss... Attended same HS as former National College Player of the Year and current NBA All-Star Elton Brand.

Personal Information: Hilton Armstrong Jr. ... Political Science major... Born November 23, 1984... Father Hilton Sr. played at Mount Vernon HS, the same high school that produced former Husky guard Ben Gordon.
