Huskies Get Ready for Rutgers in NCAA Regional Final

GREENSBORO, N.C. (March 31, 2008) - The No. 1 University of Connecticut women's basketball team will be looking to advance to the Final Four for the fifth time in the last eight seasons as they face No. 2 seed Rutgers Tuesday night in Greensboro, N.C. Tip is set for approximately 9:07 p.m. on ESPN.

Sanders Earns All-Northeast Region Honors for Men's Cross Country

STORRS, Conn. (November 12, 2007) - Junior Will Sanders (Wethersfield, Conn.) earned All-Northeast Region honors from the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association for his performance at the NCAA Northeast Regional Saturday. He finished 22nd with a time of 30:29.60. The USTFCCCA gives the honors to the top 25 finishers at the NCAA meet.

Men's Cross Country Places 16th in NCAA Northeast Regional

BOSTON, Mass. (November 10, 2007) - The University of Connecticut men's cross country team placed 16th in the NCAA Northeast Regional on Saturday at Franklin Park in Boston, Mass. Sophomore Will Sanders (Wethersfield, Conn.) was the top finisher for the Huskies, finishing 22nd with a time of 30:29.60.

Men's Cross Country Places Ninth at BIG EAST Championship

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (October 27, 2007) - Competing against some of the top ranked cross country teams in the east, the University of Connecticut placed ninth in the BIG EAST Championship Saturday with 240 points. The race was held at the E.P. Tom Sawyer Park in Louisville, Ky. Will Sanders (Wethersfield, Conn.) was the top Husky finisher. He finished 21st with a time of 24:29.40.

Men's Cross Country Finishes Second in CCSU Mini-Meet

NEW BRITAIN, Conn. (October 20, 2007) - In their final tune-up race before the BIG EAST Championship next weekend, the University of Connecticut men's cross country team finished second in the CCSU Mini-Meet Saturday. Will Sanders (Wethersfield, Conn.) was the top finisher for the Huskies, placing fourth with a time of 15:19.
