Enters junior season after a tremendous first two collegiate campaigns that saw
her named the BIG EAST Freshman of the Year following her rookie season, before
being named a First Team All-BIG EAST performer as a sophomore…poised to stake
her claim as one of the best point guards in the nation as she prepares to start
her third consecutive season as the Huskies’ primary floor general…begins her
junior campaign poised to join the UConn 1,000-point club as she enters 2007-08
with 809 career points…was a 2006-07 Nancy Lieberman Award Finalist as well as a
Kodak/WBCA All-District I selection and a BIG EAST All-Tournament Team member
during sophomore season….was also named to the 2007 NCAA Fresno All-Regional
squad…won a gold medal in 2006 with the U-20 USA National Team at the FIBA
Americas U-20 Championship for Women in Mexico City…her team-leading 479 points
in 2006-07 ranks as the eighth-highest scoring total ever by a UConn
sophomore…her team-best 163 assists ranked as the second-best total posted by a
UConn sophomore…also a threat on the defensive end, Montgomery’s 70 steals in
2006-07 represented the fifth-best total in UConn annals by a sophomore…is one
of the 25 players named to the 2007-08 Preseason Wade Watch List…enters the
season as a co-captain for the second straight year…has posted double-figure
points 44 times during her career…has started 73 of 71 career games entering
junior season… has posted 20 or more points six times in career…has scored in 59

2006-07 SEASON
Appeared and started in all 36 games as the Huskies’ point guard…tallied
double-figure points in 29 games, including four 20-point plus scoring
efforts…led the team with a 13.3 scoring average and 163 assists…led the team in
charges taken with 12…tied for the team lead with 70 steals...named first team
All-BIG EAST…selected to the Kodak/WBCA All-District I Team…was a honorable
mention Associated Press All-America…a finalist for the Nancy Lieberman
Award…led the USA U-20 National Team to a gold medal during the summer prior to
the start of the season at the FIBA U-20 Championship for Women in Mexico City…
ranked 18th among BIG EAST scoring leaders at 13.3 ppg...ranked fifth
in the BIG EAST with average of 4.53 assists per game...tied for ninth among BIG
EAST Conference leaders at 1.94 steals per game...ranks seventh in the BIG EAST

while posting double-figure points in each contest...led the team with 21 points
against Rutgers (2/26)...scored 13 points while adding eight assists vs.
Villanova (2/24)...recorded 17 points and was 4-of-5 from 3-point range vs.
Pittsburgh (2/17)...dropped in 20 points and dished out seven assists against
Louisville (2/13)...scored the game-winning 3-pointer with seven seconds
remaining to cap off a 20-point scoring effort which included a career-high five
treys and seven assists at LSU (2/12)...tallied 10 points, six steals and four
assists vs. Rutgers (2/6)...scored 12 points at Marquette (2/3)...totaled 14
points in 31 minutes of action at Cincinnati (1/30)...scored 15 points at St.
John’s (1/21)...dropped home 12 points while shooting 5-of-7 with a season-high
six steals against Providence (1/17)...had 10 points a tied a career-high with
nine assists vs. Syracuse (1/13)...scored 17 points with four treys vs. Seton
Hall (1/9)…also added eight assists vs. Seton Hall (1/9)...had eighth straight
game in double-figure points with 14 while handing out five assists vs. Sacred
Heart (12/31)...posted 16 points vs. Hartford (12/29)...dropped 19 points and
tied a career-best with eight free throws made vs. Colorado State
(12/21)...scored 17 points and tied a career-best in assists with nine at
Virginia (12/18)...totaled 11 points in 25 minutes in the BIG EAST opener
against Georgetown (12/7)...dropped in 16 points over 33 minutes in the win over
Holy Cross (12/5)...nailed a career-best nine field goals tied career-high with
26 points in the win vs. Purdue (11/30)...also was a perfect 6-of-6 from the
charity stripe in win over Purdue (11/30)…posted 12 points in 25 minutes vs.
Colgate (11/16).
2005-06 SEASON
Named 2006 BIG EAST Freshman of the Year...tied the UConn freshman assist
record with 123...averaged 8.9 points, 3.3 assists and 1.7 steals during
freshman season...notched double-figure points 15 times as a freshman...started
35 of the Huskies 37 games at point guard...named to BIG EAST All-Freshman
Team...named BIG EAST Freshman of the Week on two occasions...named BIG EAST
Freshman of the Week for the period ending Jan. 15 and Feb. 6...she became the
second consecutive true freshman to open the season as point guard for the
Huskies in as many seasons after Ketia Swanier began the year as the starter in
2004-05...posted 15 points in 43 minutes in Bridgeport Regional Final vs. Duke
(3/28)...scored 13 points and made three 3-point field goals in NCAA Regional
Semifinal win over Georgia (3/26)...was the leading scorer for UConn with 14
points in loss at Rutgers (2/27)...led the Huskies with 19 points in win at
Syracuse (2/22)...scored a career-high 26 points and shot 8-8 from the
free-throw line to lead the Huskies in win over Louisville (1/31)...the 26
points represented the highest single-game total by a UConn player in a 57-game
span...12 points in win over Cincinnati marker her second consecutive game
scoring in double figures (1/12)...posted the first 20-point scoring effort of
her career while setting new career-highs in field goals with eight and
three-pointers with three in victory at Seton Hall (1/10)...tallied a
career-high 10 steals ranking her third in school history in the Huskies win
over Hofstra (12/22)...netted a career-high 14 points in 35 minutes in the BIG
EAST conference opener against Villanova (12/8)...saw 22 minutes of action and
had three points in WNIT championship against Oklahoma (11/20)...sparked UConn’s
12-2 second half run with two steals in the WNIT semifinal win over Boston
College (11/17)...became second true freshman to open the season at the point
for UConn in as many seasons vs. Marist (11/12)...dished out three assists over
19 minutes in collegiate debut vs. Marist (11/12).
HIGH SCHOOL
Averaged 22.5 points, six assists, five rebounds and five steals while leading
South Charleston High School to the West Virginia Class AAA Final as a
senior...guided South Charleston H.S. to three consecutive state championships
from 2002-04...2005 McDonald’s All-America...2005 Gatorade West Virginia High
