Dulski Named To EA Sports All-American Women's Soccer Team

STORRS, Conn. (August 20, 2008) - Freshman Jessica Dulski (Pittsford, N.Y.) was named to the EA Sports All-America squad Wednesday. The squad, is made up of college freshmen who were stand outs on their high school team during their senior year.

Two Women's Soccer Players Named To M.A.C. Hermann Watch List

STORRS, Conn. (August 19, 2008) - Two University of Connecticut seniors Stephanie Labbe and Brittany Taylor were named to the 2008 Missouri Athletic Club’s Hermann Trophy Watch List. The list is comprised of athletes of many of the top women’s soccer programs in the country. Seven of the teams that UConn will face this year have at least one team member on the Hermann watch list. UConn is one of 10 schools to have two players on the watch list.

Women's Soccer Takes Exhibition Match Over Boston College, 2-1

STORRS, Conn. (August 17, 2008) - The University of Connecticut women's soccer team beat Boston College today 2-1 at Joseph J. Morrone Stadium in an exhibition match. The Huskies scored two goals within four minutes of each other to close out the first half with a 2-0 lead. Boston College cut the lead in half 20 minutes into the second half but were unable to get any closer as the Huskies defended the Eagles second half attack.

Bleachers On East Side Of Morrone Stadium Removed; Will Be Replaced With Updated Set

STORRS, Conn. (August 15, 2008) - In its continuing efforts to provide the best possible soccer game day experience for its fans, the University of Connecticut has removed the existing east side bleachers (across from the press box) at Joseph J. Morrone Stadium and will erect an updated set of bleachers in the same area.

Connecticut Women's Soccer Picked To Finish Second In BIG EAST Preseason Poll

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (August 13, 2008) - The University of Connecticut women’s soccer team was picked to finish in second place in the BIG EAST American Division today, by the league’s 16 head coaches, who were not permitted to vote for their own teams. The Huskies received seven first place votes and totaled 111 points falling just shy of West Virginia’s 114.
