*Marked the second overseas tour for the Huskies. Connecticut players and family
traveled to Denmark and Norway, spending a week in both countries. UConn’s
toughest game was against Fortuna of Denmark, for whom several Scandinavian
National Team players competed.
*After a tremendously successful season and a great run in the NCAA
Tournament, the Huskies exit the tournament after a Quarterfinal loss with an
overall record of 22-3, 8-1 in the Big East. This also ends the illustrious
careers of Kerry Connors and Ginny Woodward. The dynamic forward duo are both
members of the 100 point club.
*Kerry Connors, a two-time American remains tied for fourth on the all-time career
point list with 128 while Ginny Woodward is fifth with 125 points. Connors &
Sara Whalen repeated as All-Americans.
