*In December of 2000, the Women’s United Soccer Association held it’s first
combine and draft. Sara Whalen, a National team
player, was allocated to the New York Power. Others drafted: Kerry
Connors (New York Power), Carey Dorn (Bay Area CyberRays), Naomi
Stone (Carolina Pride), Jen Tietjen (Philadelphia Charge),
Margaret Tietjen
Jen Carlson (San Diego Spirit), and Chrisy
McCann (Boston Breakers).
