EAST HARTFORD, Conn. - The University of Connecticut and its Division of Athletics held its annual recognition for members of the Athletic Director's Honor Roll on Friday night at halftime of the UConn vs. Temple football game at Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field.
Over 50% of UConn student-athletes achieved a 3.0 or better grade point average during the spring of 2016 and the fall of 2015 and earned a spot on the Honor Roll.
Also taking part in the ceremony were UConn President Susan Herbst, Provost Mun Choi, Distinguished Professor and NCAA Faculty Representative Dr. Scott Brown, Division of Athletics Chief Operating Officer Beth Goetz, Husky coaching staffs and the staff of UConn's Counseling Program for Intercollegiate Athletes.
A special recognition was paid to the 44 student-athletes we earned a perfect 4.0 grade point average in a semester. The men's cross country team was also honored as the team with the highest combined grade point average with a 3.321 mark.
Prior to the game, members of the Athletic Director's Honor Roll enjoyed a special tailgate reception held in their honor.
