UConn Baseball defeats top-seed Louisville, 4-1, in the Second Round of the BIG EAST Championship (5/25/12).
2010 SEASON: Appeared in 30 games... posted an ERA of 1.94, allowing only 10 runs in 46.1 innings of work... 5-2 on the hill for the Huskies... also recorded one save... gave up 40 hits and eight walks... struck out 30... pitched a season- high 3.2 innings, giving up only two hits and recording the save vs. Seton Hall (6/21). 2010 SUMMER: Played for the Lowell All-Americans in the New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL)... posted a 0.64 ERA in 10 games... threw 14 innings, allowing one earned run and three walks, while striking out five.
2009 SEASON: Led the Huskies with a 1.78 ERA... was undefeated with a 4-0 record in 19 appearances... registered one save... in 30.1 innings of work, allowed 28 hits and six earned runs... walked three batters and struck out 11... earned wins over Massachusetts (April 8), Hartford (April 14), Notre Dame (May 2) and South Florida (May 23)... earned the 10-8 win over South Florida (May 23) during postseason play allowing one hit, while striking out one in 2.2 innings... struck out two at Seton Hall (April 3) in one inning of work in UConn's 7-2 win over the Pirates. 2009 SUMMER: Played for the Bourne Braves in the Cape Cod Baseball League (CCBL)... was a part of the Braves' League Championship... appeared in three games, posting a 1.80 ERA, while striking out one in five innings of work.
HIGH SCHOOL: A three-year varsity letter winner at Tewksbury Memorial... was a two-time Merrimack Valley Conference Player of the Year... a two-time Boston Globe and Boston Herald All-Scholastic team member... two-time Lowell Sun Player of the Year... led team to two conference championship titles... varsity record of 14-3 with an 1.11 ERA... also lettered in basketball... was a honor roll student.
