2008 SEASON: Finished the year with an overall record of 3-3... posted a 6.75 ERA in 11 appearances... made six starts... combined for two shutouts... allowed 39 hits and 26 earned runs in 34.2 innings pitched... struck out 34 to improve his career tally to 70 in his second year with the UConn club... struck out a season-high five batters twice... started at Pittsburgh (May 17) and threw 4.2 innings while striking out five and allowing three runs... his last win came in the 8-0 win against Central Connecticut (Apr. 30) as he threw 2.1 innings in relief while allowing no runs and striking out two.

2007 SEASON: Appeared in 12 games making 10 starts for the Huskies registering 64.0 innings pitched and 36 strikeouts ... posted a 2-5 record and a 4.78 ERA ... struck out a season-high seven batters in 6.0 innings of work against Jacksonville (Mar. 7).

HIGH SCHOOL: Earned four varsity letters at McQuaid Jesuit High School as a pitcher and infielder ... belted two home runs as registered a 3-0 record as a pitcher as a freshman ... also hurled a varsity no-hitter that season ... hit .457 with three home runs, 29 RBI, 12 doubles and one triple as a sophomore ... was 4-2 on the hill with a 2.54 earned run average with 39 strikeouts ... was selected to the All-City Catholic First Team ... earned the MVP and Gold Glove Varsity Award ... named the Rochester Player of the week ... member of the New York State Empire State Games Western Team that captured a gold medal ... hit .448 as a junior with nine home runs, 46 RBI, 10 doubles, two triples and five stolen bases in helping lead the Knights to a 26-1 overall record ... posted a 0.95 earned run average in 66 innings on the hill for a 10-1 overall record ... allowed just 22 hits while recording 110 punchouts ... hurled a no-hitter and a perfect game while collecting 16 strikeouts ... named Rochester City Catholic Player of the Year ... helped guide the Knights to a 23-5 record and a sectional championship as a senior ... hit .435 with six home runs, 43 RBI, 15 doubles, five triples and 10 stolen bases ... was 6-2 on the hill with a 0.78 earned run average ... totaled 53 innings of mound duty and allowed 37 hits while collecting 87 strikeouts ... selected as Rochester City Catholic Player of the Year and team MVP ... member of the New York State All-State Second Team.
