Huskies Land in Baseball America Top 25

STORRS, Conn. – The UConn baseball team received top 25 recognition from Baseball America after going 2-1 on opening weekend in Georgia. The Huskies are ranked No. 25 in the poll.

UConn is ranked for the first time since April 10, 2017 after the Huskies swept Memphis at J.O. Christian Field and moved to 19-10 overall and 6-0 in The American.

The Huskies are in the top 25 in back-to-back seasons since being ranked during the 2010 and 2011 campaigns.

UConn breaks into the rankings after knocking off Georgia State, 10-1, on Saturday and winning a thrilling 9-7, 10-inning affair on Sunday against Georgia Tech.

Up next, the Huskies head to Hammond, La. for a marquee series with Southeastern Louisiana. Both program rank in the Top 35 nationally in wins dating back to the start of the 2010 season. UConn has captured 294 wins during that span while the Lions have won 310 games this decade.
