HAMMOND, LA. – The No. 25 UConn baseball team heads to the bayou to face off against Southeastern Louisiana for a three-game series beginning on Friday, Feb. 23 at 7 p.m. EST.

After going 2-1 in the Atlanta Challenge on opening weekend, the Huskies entered the Baseball America top 25. It is the second-straight year that the Huskies have broken into the polls and the fourth season since 2010.

Series vs. Southeastern Louisiana... The Huskies are 0-1 all-time against the Lions with the only contest coming in 2003. The Huskies and Lions played in Baton Rouge, La. with Southeastern winning 5-2 in a rain-shortened six-inning game at Alex Box Stadium. This is the first trip the Huskies will make to Hammond, La.

Dawgs Hitting Dingers... The Huskies slugged five home runs on opening weekend with Isaac Feldstein (2), John Toppa (1), Troy Stefanski (1) and Conor Moriarty (1) all getting in on the act. The Huskies hit five home runs during last year’s opening weekend playing in four contests against UMass Lowell.

February Feldstein... The Palo Alto, Calif. native has feasted in the February during his tenure with the Huskies. Last season, Feldstein hit .423 (11-26) with five doubles, one home run and eight RBIs in the Huskies seven February tilts. The UConn outfielder has gotten off to another hot start, hitting .385 (5-13) with one double, two long balls, five runs scored and four RBIs in three games.

Power Conference Dubs... After knocking off Georgia Tech on Sunday, 9-7, the Huskies improved to 58-44 since 2010 against teams currently in “Power 5” Conferences. Wins include Clemson, Texas, Oregon State, Texas Tech and Oklahoma.

All “We” Do Is Win...  UConn is one of 35 Division I teams who have averaged at least 36.5 wins per season since 2010. The Huskies face off against three teams on that list this season (Georgia Tech, Coastal Carolina and Southeastern Louisiana).
